Women Helping Women: Skill Swap
I participated in another Ideo.org/NovoEd course on Human Centered Design. Our small group of three researched "How might we support female social entrepreneurs". I hosted a brainstorming session, after we synthesized research and interviews from 18 female social entrepreneurs.
Our research points to two large needs for female social entrepreneurs: specific skillssets and connections to community/mentors/partners. We aimed to solve both of these problems with a Skill Swap website and events.
Our Skill Swap prototype event in July 2015 created several connections among the small group of femal entreprenurs attending. We have two more planned for later this summer and all three members of our team are committed to continueing this social enterprise to help female enterpreneurs and social entrepreneurs.
