How might we redesign the educational experience?

I participated in d.school brainstorming session to redesign the educational experience. We realized that the best educational experiences are experiential and taught by passionate experts. We proposed disrupting the educational sphere by decentralizing the teaching process, creating opportunities for students to learn from many different mentors.

This extended from my experience as part of the founding team of the Stanford Splash! program. We created a program where over a thousand middle and high school participants took courses taught by Stanford students and affiliates on a variety of topics that inspire them.
