How might the Girl Scouts of Northern California use their over-ordered cookies

In 2011, the Girl Scouts of Northern California over-ordered several pallets of Girl Scouts Cookies. At the end of their selling season, they asked our Stanford d.school class to design the best use for these cookies. Our design team proposed that the girl scouts host a "Troops for Troops" campaign, where participants can buy cookies to send to American troops fighting overseas. We thought that since Girl Scout Cookies are such a part of American life, that the Troops would enjoy having a part of home with them. The Girl Scouts liked our idea so much that they immediately implemented the project on the leftover boxes of cookies.
